2/14/2018CorrectedCorrect Below* Back part of kitchen.Either does not have an emergency light or EM light not functioning.
2/14/2018TransferCorrect Below* Restaurant.Normal business hours lighting is from 120V panel(s). Emergency lighting is by means of 277V strip lights with battery back-up. The 277V strip lights are not normal business hours lighting; a controller / timer only energizes strip lights for after hours cleaning. This design does not meet the requirements of 700.12.
2/13/2018TransferCorrect Below* Gaming area.Ambient lighting during business hours is to be provided by 120V arcade games. Emergency lighting designed for the area is by means of 277V strip lights with battery back-up. The 277V strip lights with EM battery back-up are not used for normal lighting during business hours. Timer / controller system only energizes lights after hours for cleaning staff. Concerns are as follows: 1. 700.12 requires the EM lights to be on the same circuit as normal lighting in the area served. These lights are not normal lighting. An exception permits a dedicated circuit for EM lights if fed from the same panel feeding normal lighting. This design does not meet either requirement. 2. FA system will deenergize games on alarm. Gaming area EM lights will not come on leaving the area in the dark.
