General

This review is code compliance review based on the requirements of the International Building and Fire Code, 2009 Edition and adopted MOA and SOA ammendments.  this review does not permit the violation of the biloding or fire codes, nor any federal, state or local regulation.

Comments:

 8/25/14-All comments addressed and shown on plans.  Approved. C. Hill

1.  Provide exiting study showing minimum required exiting  from tower. Including exiting distance.  Blocking off East side exiting could impact minimum exiting requriements.  Also show exiting study for mezzanine level with the demo of two stairs.  Show and label on plans rated corridors. 

2.  G1.00, Apparently all exits are not shown from each level.  Redo page showing proper exiting for occuplant loads and exiting distance from each level. Also show correct door swing.

3.  A1.01.  Grid line B btwn 6 and 5, construction barricade.  Depending on exiting study, temporary exit doors could be required thru barrier.

4.  A1.30, C1 new door @ pool..provide door rating. 

5.  M002 Atrium smoke control, smoke directing fans.  Several have been removed since thjis system was installed.  Verify that current configuration meets cfms per 1982 UBC 1807G or better.

6.  Provide copy of smoke evacuation annual servicve report.  Any deficiencies shall be corrected.

7.  Exit signs as shown are appropriate for vacant space.  Exit signs shall be reevaluated on Ti submittals.  Note only.
