1) STATUS: 8-5-11 Comments to be addressed. 8-26-11 APPROVED.
2) The following comments based upon the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 8-26-11.
3) 19/TS-4 The water closet horizontal grab bars are allowed to be a maximum of 36" above the finished floor to the top of the gripping surface. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-609.4) RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-25-11.
4) 15/TS-4 "A clearance around a water closet 60 inches minimum, measured perpendicular from the side wall, and 56 inches minimum, measured perpendicular from the rear wall, shall be provided." (ICC/ANSI A117.1-604.3.1) Please clarify. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-25-11.
5) A-1.1 The Type I hoods are required to have at least 18" clearance to combustibles. Provide detailed construction information on the prewired cookline wall/utility distribution system (#41) in support of this requirement plus details showing that the wall's surface is smooth, non-absorbant and washable (IMC 507.9 plus local amendment). 8-26-11 UNRESOLVED. SHOP DRAWINGS FOR WALL WERE NOT ENCLOSED. DETAILS SHOULD INCLUDE A THIRD PARY LISTING FOR THE WIRING FOR USE BEHIND A TYPE I KITCHEN HOOD. PROVIDE DRAWINGS AS A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL.
6) A-1.1 Provide deferred submittal information on the walk-in cooler and freezer to show compliance with all of the provisions of IBC 2603.4.1.2. Highlight the specific required information. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-25-11.
7) A-2.1 The detail reference 10/A-8.3 at the reflected ceiling above the cooking area is actually a window jamb detail. Please clarify. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-25-11.
8) A-5.1 Provide submittal literature on the E.I.F.S. showing compliance with all of the provisions of 2603.2, 2603.3 and 2603.4. Provide highlighted details of specific requirements. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-25-11.
9) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RESOLVED 8-26-11.
