1) STATUS:   8-5-11 Comments to be addressed.          8-24-11 APPROVED.

 

2) The following comments based upon the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.          RESOLVED 8-24-11.

 

3) P-2.1 & P-4.1           The 3-compartment sink requires a center waste outlet (UPC 1001.2) with vented P-trap (1014.1.1).                           RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

4) P-2.1 Note "M"          Does the grease trap (GT-1) have a built in flow control per UPC 1014.2.1 exception?               RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

5) P-2.1                The two cook line trough drains (#44) and the one adjacent to the 3-compartment sink (#33) have 3" trap arms exceeding the maximum 6 feet allowed per UPC Table 10-1.              RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

6) P-2.1                 The 2" FS-1 serving B11, B12 & B14 has a trap arm exceed the maximum 5 feet allowed per Table 10-1.                                RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

7) P-2.1                 Storm drainage piping exiting a building footprint is required to have a cleanout within 2 feet of the building exterior. (UPC 1101.12.1 and local amendment to 719.1)                         RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

8) P-2.1                All vertical rainleaders are required to have a cleanout prior to dropping below grade and connecting to the horizontal drains. (UPC 1101.12.2) RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

9) P-2.1                The cast iron waste piping serving the floor sinks at the beer and soda dispensers is not compatable with the byproducts being disposed at those locations. 10) P-2.1               Please clarify Plan Note "J" adjacent to the dishwashing area. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

12) P-2.4               Note "A" to the fireplace connection appears to be incorrect. RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

13) P-2.4               It appears that Note "B" should reference 1" pipe.              RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

14) P-2.4               Please clarify the location for Plan Note "N".              RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

15) P-3.1               The 3/4" 2 PSI gas branch serving MUA-1 (935 MBH @ 150 feet) appears to be undersized per Table 12-9.                 RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

16) P-4.1               Storm drainage is required to be totally separate from the waste and vent system per 1104.3. (Ref. the North West area of the isometric drawing).                      RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

17) P-4.2               Mechanical water hammer arrestors are required to be sized and located per UPC 609.10 plus local amendment.              RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.

 

18) PS-1 Section 15020.2.14                 "Air Chambers" are no longer permitted. Only mechanical water hammer arrestors are permitted. (UPC 609.10 plus local amendment)          RESOLVED PER RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 8-17-11.
