Advisory Information:

Approved, MG 4-10-12.

 

OK for Footing & Foundation ONLY, MG 8-4-11. Other grading work outside of the building footprint such as storm drain and final grading are not approved.  By the developer going forward with the F&F the floor elevation will be set prior to approval of a grading & drainage plan stamped by a civil engineer that may result in significant increased costs to the developer to resolve site specific challenges to preparing an approvable site grading & drainage plan.

Correction, MG 8-4-11, 9-14-11.

1.  Please submit a grading and drainage plan that shall be prepared and stamped by a civil engineer licensed in the State of Alaska.   2007 DCM 2.4.D .  Resolved, MG 9-14-11.

2.  Drainage Report:  If applicable complete the Drainage Certification found in the Drainage Design Guidelines Appendix C-3 (C-3 appears appropriate for the work proposed), along with backup calculations (areas and weighted coefficients) stamped by a civil Engineer (http://www.muni.org/Departments/works/project_management/Pages/Publications.aspx). Otherwise, Provide a drainage report prepared and stamped by a civil engineer licensed in the State of Alaska per the 2007 DCM Ch:2.  Reference the 2007 Drainage Design Guidelines, Appendix A for preparation of a Drainage Report (follow the outline beginning on page A-3 and include relevant forms) to be submitted with the drainage and grading plan.  Please provide drainage calculation inputs and results from modeling on a CD (EPA SWMM digital format or equivalent as applicable).   Not resolved, form C-3 not stamped by a professional engineer, MG 9-14-11.  Resolved, MG 4-10-12.

3.  Fills under building footprints, driveways, and parking lots shall be  compacted to 95 percent of maximum density. AMCR 23.105.110.4.  Resolved, MG 9-14-11.

4.  ADVISORY NOTE:  During the 8-4-11 on site review mutliple locations within the parking lot, west of the proposed Olive Garden, detain water on the surface of the asphalt (bird baths) with poor drainage connections to the storm drain.  This may be a good time to fix the parking lot drainage.

5.  PD comments may be incomplete pending further submittals.
