Advisory Note: No response required if in agreement.  Per conversation with architect understand construction is type IIB and all wood framing/combustible material will be fire treated per IBC 603 or meet IBC 717.5.  If existing combustibles are found during demo or construction condition shall be rectified.

1.  The vertical carpet on the "Tray Jack Elevation" detail 11 sheet A8.2 shall meet IFC 803.  Carpet used as a wall finish must meet a different standard for carpet used as a floor covering.  Please verify comopliance and provide details and/or cut sheet of textile.

2.  Show on plans the location & maximum occupant load number of each required occupant load sign for each assembly room.  Is it your intent to treat the 3 dining areas as one with combined sign at the main entrance or post separate signs.  Will you post the lounge/bar separately?  Contrary to general note 31, sheet A-4.1 & signage note 3, sheet A4.2, as part of your response please indicate the number of signs you intend to post. The architect shall furnish this info for plan review evaluation.

3.  The mechanical room doors 128 encroach into the path of egress for door 08.  This is not allowed per IBC 1005.2.

4.  Please verify that the electric soloniod gas valve serving the cooking line will be equipped with a manual reset.

5.  A separate submittal, review, & permit is required for the installation of the fire alarm.  This submital may be deferred.  FA sheets have not been reviewed.

6.  A separate submittal, review, & permit is required for the installation of the  sprinkler system.  This submital may be deferred.  Sprinkler sheets have not been reviewed.

7.  A separate submittal, review, & permit is required for the installation of the hood suppression system.  This submital may be deferred.

8.  Emergency lighting is required to be extended into mall Vestibule 131.  Please show fixture type and locations on plans.

9.  Sheet A8.5 details show numerous uses of "Marine Plywood",  How is this being evaluated for concealed combustible materials? Is this considered interior finish?  If so what is flame spread rating?

10.  Fire extinguisher specs section 10523 on sheet AS-5 references 4 Dry chemical "K" type fire extinguishers.  Please verify or re-specify as a "K" class is only required in the kitchen to be compatible with the hood suppression system.  This is usually supplied by the hood system supplier and the agent is a liquid rather than a dry chemical.  Is it your intent to provide multipurpose dry chemical throughout the dining area?  If so, fire extinguishers should be specified as 2A10BC minimum rated dry chemicals along with a separate "K" Class" for the kitchen.
